Changed border crossing conditions

30. 3. 2021

To contain the Covid-19 epidemic, the Government of the Republic of Slovenia tightened the conditions for entry into our country. The new measures will be in force from 29 March to and including 11 April. During this time airport is open for passenger and cargo traffic, general aviation is limited by Governmental Decree.

According to new restrictions it is possible to enter Slovenia only at checkpoints. If one is coming from countries or administrative units of countries on the red list, he/she is sent to home quarantine, unless upon entering Slovenia, he/she submits a negative PCR test result not older than 48 hours, a certificate of a positive PCR test result, which is older than 21 days or a proof of vaccination. The test certificate is considered valid if it was issued in EU Member States or Schengen Member States respectively.

Travelling to countries or administrative units that are on the red list is prohibited for all, with the exception of those who have recovered from COVID-19 or have been vaccinated, along with those who have special exemptions.

At Ljubljana Airport Covid-19 swabs are available to all passengers and all other members of the general public who require a test certificate. Testing is voluntary and self-paid. More on testing can be found here.
