Ljubljana Airport deploys Assaia turnaround solution to increase efficiency

Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport (LJU) has become the latest airport to deploy Assaia’s turnaround technology to optimize the airport’s turnaround performance. This is an important cornerstone for the remaining airports across the Fraport portfolio. Early results are showing the substantial difference in average ground delays for flights where alerts were acknowledged versus those flights where alerts were not acknowledged. The reduction in average ground delays is almost six minutes in the time period from January to February this year.

22 airlines on 25 regular routes from Ljubljana Airport in the summer season

A network of flights from Ljubljana Airport will be provided by as many as 22 regular airlines this summer season, the most so far. They will offer 25 connections throughout Europe and beyond, with convenient connecting flights through major airports enabling travel to all corners of the world. Passengers can look forward to three new additions: airBaltic flights to Riga, Norwegian flights to Copenhagen, and Iberia flights to Madrid. The charter flight offering will also be rich – flights will be available to 57 holiday destinations. With the boom in tourist travel, Ljubljana Airport is experiencing strong traffic growth – in January and February, there was a 31 percent increase in passengers compared to the same period last year, and a similar growth is expected in March.
