Norwegian to launch flights from Ljubljana Airport to Copenhagen in April

At the end of April, a new airline, Norwegian, will start flying to Ljubljana Airport. It will establish a connection with the Danish capital and enhance Slovenia’s connectivity with Nordic countries. The airline will also offer good options for onward travel through the extensive network of Copenhagen Airport, the largest northern European aviation hub. According to the carriers' announcements for the summer schedule, the flight network from Ljubljana Airport will offer at least 26 regular connections. Passengers can look forward to three new destinations - besides Copenhagen, flights to Madrid and Riga will also be introduced.
Norwegian's new connection to Copenhagen is set to launch on April 29, 2024. Flights will be available twice a week, initially on Mondays and Fridays, and during the peak summer season on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The carrier will operate flights with a 189-seat Boeing 737-800 aircraft. In the carrier's flight schedule, departure from Ljubljana Airport is scheduled for 8:45, with arrival in Copenhagen at 10:40.

We also look forward to inbound traffic, as Copenhagen Airport is used as a gateway to Europe not only by Danes but also by many Swedes and Norwegians," said Dr. Babett Stapel, Managing Director of Fraport Slovenija, at the official announcement of the new connection.
In the summer flight schedule, starting at the end of March, the connectivity of Ljubljana Airport will advance. According to announcements from 22 carriers, it will be possible to fly on at least 26 regular routes. In addition to the mentioned Norwegian flights, new additions will include flights to Riga with airBaltic and to Madrid with Iberia. After the winter break, Finnair will resume flights to Helsinki, Aegean Airlines to Athens and Transavia France to Paris Orly. Compared to the last summer season, carriers also announce more frequent flights on routes to Munich, Belgrade, Brussels, London Heathrow, Paris, Skopje, Warsaw, and Zurich.
