"After many years of intensive efforts to establish a connection between Ljubljana and the Arabian Peninsula, the realization of these talks is really very satisfactory. The establishment of a new regular connection in this extremely demanding times for world aviation and our airport represents new opportunities for the Slovenian economy and tourism, and we are also improving Slovenia's connectivity with the world. For Fraport Slovenia, the new connection creates new opportunities for re-growth and development. I am pleased that the line will be established after the opening of a new passenger terminal, which represents a special turning point for our airport, the entry into a new airport era", said Zmago Skobir, Managing Director of Fraport Slovenia.

At Fraport Slovenia, we estimate that the new direct connection has great potential and that the Arab destination will be attractive for our passengers. In addition, Dubai is an excellent starting point for further travel and connections around the world. We also believe that Slovenia is tremendously interesting tourist destination thus establishment of a new air connection will also help the recovery of domestic tourism.
