The summer flight schedule is effective from March 26 until October 28, 2023. At Ljubljana Airport the seasonality of traffic is high, the number of passengers starts climbing steeply in spring and reaches its peak in the summer months, when at least a doubled number of passengers travel through the airport compared to the winter months. The summer season will offer a wider selection of flights, by number of destinations and flight frequency. 18 regular carriers will offer more than 130 flights per week to 21 destinations in peak summer season.

After a three-year brake, Finnair is returning to Ljubljana Airport in April. The carrier will be connecting Slovenia and Finland four times weekly and offering convenient connecting flights to Asia through Helsinki. The service will be operated with an Airbus A319, every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The departure from Ljubljana Airport is scheduled for 9:25, arrival to Helsinki for 13:05 local time. One-way flight tickets to Helsinki are available already from 156 euro.

In June, we will welcome a new connection of Aegean Airlines to Athens. The carrier will be flying to the Greek capital twice weekly, every Tuesday and Friday, with an Airbus A320neo. The departure from Ljubljana Airport is scheduled for 19:00, arrival to Athens for 21:45. One-way flight tickets are available already from 58 euro. Aegean Airlines will also be offering convenient connecting flight options through Athens Airport to the Middle East and Asia.

On the first day of the summer schedule, March 26, British Airways is returning with flights to London Heathrow and Transavia with flights to Amsterdam. Following a winter break Transavia France is returning flights to Paris Orly and Israir Airlines will again be flying to Tel Aviv. Between June and September Air Montenegro will be offering flights to Tivat.   
 
The airline GP Aviation has recently announced to start flying to Priština end of March. Flights are scheduled twice weekly, with departure from Ljubljana Airport at 14:00 and arrival to Priština at 15:30.   
 
Altogether 18 carriers will be offering 21 regular connections with the following number of weekly flights:

• Air Serbia twice daily to Belgrade and twice weekly to Niš,
• Aegean Airlines twice weekly to Athens,
• Brussels Airlines six times weekly to Brussels,
• flydubai daily to Dubai,
• Finnair four times weekly to Helsinki,
• Lufthansa three times daily to Frankfurt and daily to Munich,
• Turkish Airlines up to twice daily to Istanbul,
• easyJet up to six times weekly to London, Gatwick,
• British Airways six times weekly to London Heathrow,
• Wizz Air three times weekly to London, Luton,
• Transavia up to four times weekly to Amsterdam,
• Transavia France twice weekly to Paris, Orly,
• Air France eleven times weekly to Paris,
• Israir/El Al/Sundor up to five times weekly to Tel Aviv,
• Air Montenegro three times weekly to Podgorica and four times weekly to Tivat (exchanging connections),
• LOT Polish Airlines nine times weekly to Warsaw,
• SWISS Airlines nine times weekly to Zürich and
• GP Aviation twice weekly to Priština.

We expect an abundant offer of charter flights in the summer season to the most popular destinations on Greek islands, in Egypt, Turkey and Spain, to where a wider offer will be available (Vittoria, Santiago de Compostela, Barcelona, Sevilla and Girona, Tenerife). Holiday packages with travel agencies will be available also to Malta, Portugal (Madeira, Porto, the Azores), Iceland, Tunisia, Cape Verde islands, Jordan, the Netherlands, and Latvia.
